  1. I know they are available through various social media sites, but we don't all use social media. I just think,at times, the club don't give a stuff about their fans. The communication In general, is very poor.

  2. AJ had one poor game, at Doncaster, Brown has had 4 in my opinion. He cost us the first try on Sunday. For what it's worth, I think ,that looking at the opposition, Hendo will be totally focused on having our ' big guns' fully fit for the Sheffield semi final, he won't be playing anybody who is not 100% fit before then.

  3. Isn't TNW still at Leeds, anyway, I wouldn't consider including him if he is going to keep getting recalled? I'd bring AJ back, give Brown a rest, otherwise I'd leave the team as it was on Sunday, with Ata on the bench if he is fit.

Difficult to pick an MOM but Jimmy K had his best game in a York shirt. Great intensity throughout from all 17.

I'd second that Andy. Yesterday we had players playing in their proper positions. Jimmy K., Myles and Lineham knew their roles, and didn't get dragged out of position. This was really noticeable early on when Bradford were moving the ball out wide quickly but couldn't find a way through. Also, Josh D when he came on as replacement hooker looked far more comfortable than he did last week.

Brilliant performance, Harrison absolutely rock steady at full back, Pemberton played the best since he signed, Tommo, well Tommo was Tommo enough said , Harris outstanding, Keinhorst top notch, I could go on, if we had played like that in the opening games we would have come away with more wins, even the mighty Trin might have been kept in check, the discipline today was far better even on the back of some very ordinary refereeing. It obviously meant a great deal to the guys out there too, great to see and against Bradford too, it doesn’t get much better than that.

No doubt Bradford will blame the referee. I really thought they would be better than that, but we never let them settle. Brilliant today

  6. THe Knights are priced at 5/2 with Skybet to win outright, and get a 12 points star on the handicap coupon. The Valkyrie are 2/5 to win outright with Saints ladies getting an 8 point handicap start.

Interestingly both the Valkyrie and the Saints are priced at 5/2 to win the Challenge Cup, with Leeds the evens favourite. I think the Valks are a good shout at those odds.

  7. The Knights website now has tickets for the Valkyrie semi final available in 2 areas of the ground. Block E is fairly central and where most of our fans sat in the recent Championship game. Blocks 45 and 46 are tucked away in one corner. Hopefully we will get a good following, and all get sat together. I'll be going for Block E.

The Sunday we played Donny I heard he had played the day before! They are called Bradford Salem, just won the league and got promoted for the first time in donkeys years.

I thought there were rules which prevented semi professional players playing amateur rugby of either code?

He obviously didn't want to play for the Kinghts, and I wasn't sorry when he went, but we could do with him now.

  9. The mens' semi final venues have been fixed, and although it isn't confirmed, it looks like the Valks. could be playing as a double header with the WIgan v. Hull KR semi at Doncaster on the Saturday 18th May. Fingers crossed it stays like that.

  10. Outstanding again. The real stuff starts this weekend, a massive game against Saints, and a rehearsal for the Challenge Cup semi. The girls willbe battle hardened by the time that comes round, they play Leeds the previous weekend.

Our big 'on trial' prop looks like a unit. In from Avignon and, previously, Estraigues in French Elite 2.

Couple of half back prospects galloping towards the horizon as we speak, I understand.

Also understand that the nature of Richie Myler's injury and subsequent 'op' means that he would have been out for the season so possibly the move suits both parties?

Thanks for that Andy. There's a lad about that size drinks in our local pub, could it be him? Seriously, I think we need a centre if Dee and Keinhorst are going to be out for any length of time, and also be wary of taking anybody on loan if they are going to be recalled at the drop of a hat. Neither Leeds or Hull had a game yesterday, but allegedly both recalled their loan players who had been named in our match day squad.

I thought Warrington drew Huddersfield and Hull K.R. drew Wigan?

Sorry my mistake, you are correct. I would still expect us to play alongside the Warrington game, which hopefully will be played not too far away on the Saturday to avoid clashing with the Knights home game on the Sunday.

  13. The Valks have been drawn against St. Helens in the cup semi final. As the games are to be played as double headers, I would imagine we'll be paired with the Warrington v. Hull KR tie, with both Wigan teams playing at the same venue. Dates and venues to be announced tomorrow.

    • We were totally outplayed today, and even allowing for all our missing players, our defence was embarrassing. How many tries do we concede down our right hand side, why can't this be addressed? Get rid of the defence coach, he obviously isn't doing what he is paid for.
    • It looks like our fan communication system has broken down again. Despite being in our 21 man squad it seems that TNW, and Severs have been recalled by their parent clubs. Did anybody know?
    • And finally, who had the idea of playing blaring music at every break in play, something else that shouldn't be repeated?

  14. Interesting theory. What I will say is that I bumped into 3 Knights players in the city centre just before Christmas, and they told me that Myler had had a very positive impact on the squad since he had signed. He didn't feature in any pre season games, so maybe his heart wasn't in it once he had settled in. Let's just get our money back and move on. He won't be missed, he's hardly played.
