Loads of good kids coming through. Romeo Tropis looks the real deal , Baptiste Rodriguez hasn’t done much wrong so far and young Hugo on debut was outstanding.

Doncaster were excellent which made the TO effort even more noteworthy.

The big question remains for me, why isn’t Robin Brochon getting any game time ? Is it a disciplinary thing ? I’ve watched him play at fb, hooker and in the half back line and he’s looked good. Done think he’s injured.

I'm surprised as well that he hasn't been used as a half considering they were a bit short. Maybe, with no game time this year he's not fit enough? I'm not in the loop anymore about these players so I don't know which ones are hovering on the fringes waiting for a game or if they are long term injured. Calum, Greg, Dom, PJ all missing for most of the season you would have thought Robin would be a shoe in at half. Maybe with Hugo now as hooker, Marion as a half and OAB fb, they have no space for him on the pitch.

Cracking game, Donny were brilliant but credit to Toulouse who showed character with a makeshift side due to absences in key areas. Marion slotted in well at scrum half and Laguerre looked solid at fullback. A few dodgy decisions for both sides but Donny suffering more imo . Handling errors costing both sides with Paoli dropping the ball close to the line close to the end which was crucial. Not a bad player on the pitch but special mention to Rob Butler who was awesome. Isaac Misky terrorized TO and looked explosive with the ball. Young Hugo Garrigues, another kid from the academy looked the real deal.

Well done as usual to the travelling bunch, did any of you make it to the Melting Pot before closing time ?

I thought Hugo was excellent at hooker. 20yrs old and stepped into the team and performed well.

Do you know if they have offered him a professional contract yet? I thought he was pretty good at U19 level but I wasn't sure if he has joined the professional setup yet.

For the last 10 years or so there seem to be about 2 or 3 times a year where Toulouse just dont show up, usually away from home.

Great effort from Widnes but that was a scratch side they put out tonight, think their fans must have feared the worst when they saw their 17.

Yes, I understand why OAB doesn't want to play on the pitch but he's been the standout player for them this year. Without Jake they did miss some bite. Still, I would have hoped they could still have shown a bit more than that, they still had a lot of experience out there.

Widnes played better and deserved the points.

I wonder if OAB would have played if it was the last game of the normal season and they needed the points to stay top.

24-16 - Pushed Toulouse to the last minute when the score was 18-16 before they went ahead friom a crossfield kick on the last tackle. Not ta bad London performance but they remain 2-3 players lacking and Luke Polsetti making try saving tackles, The club lacks a cutting edge and pace.. Oh for Keiran Dixon

That was well done by London they pushed TO into making lots of mistakes. Silly errors and bad decisions. I mean why kick on the 3rd 5m out?

If TO play like that next week against Oldham they will get stuffed. The only thing in TOs favour next week is that the forecast is for 36⁰

I thought Barrow did OK until about the 30min mark. TO just didn't seem to be interested, no speed or passion and too many mistakes. I was a bit worried about the line up as both Max and Mathieu were missing, but the other lads did OK when they got going. Agree about Tropics, he's growing into the team well.

Some odd decisions yes, but it balanced out. I thought the 1st Barrow try was a forward pass, but another one chalked off for off side was OK. Too much niggly stuff in the 2nd half though.

Could you have a word with whoever is charge of ball boys nowadays? Too often we had two balls on the pitch and it slowed the game down unnecessarily in the 2nd half.

Good game for the neutral with some good rugby on display. Barrow looked comfortable with the ball until they hit the last quarter when fitness/fatigue probably kicked in. It was warmish and the lads had endured a tedious journey to get to Toulouse but great credit to them. Pity the ref spoiled the fun with some dodgy decisions. It’s a tough job at times of course but things like binning a player from each side for a bit of passion seems unnecessary imo. Well done TO for showing patience when many sides would have  capitulated.  Some good performances but special mention to young centre Romeo Tropis from the TO academy, he looks the real deal with another exemplary performance.

Just a special mention for Raiders skipper Stacky. As his team lined up before the ko, each player was accompanied by a young French kid who stood in front of each player. Stacky noticed that the sun was shining directly in the kiddies’ eyes so he told his men to step a couple of paces forward to put the kids faces in the shade. Great effort mate, thanks for a bit of humanity, a gesture not to be forgotten.

Lets not get carried away, we are only 6 games in at the moment and still to play Bradford and Toulouse who I still see as the best two teams in the division.

We got rid of some big contracts during and at the end of last season lets not forget and also running with what must be the smallest squad in the league.

Again we have been lucky with injuries but maybe that makes up for the awful luck that we had last season. I mean if we didn't lose Calcott and Douglas for the season and O'Brien for most of it all in one game before the league season started, we would not have been flirting with relegation despite what happened off the field.

My worry tomorrow is that we have Hansen and Dixon both missing who have both been superb and are both big losses for such a big game and that was my fear at the start of the season, on paper we have a starting 17 who should be in or around the playoffs, there is a lot of quality in our squad that got over looked based on last season, but if we do get injuries then it could be a struggle but for the moment things look a lot rosier than last season.

Fax winning will set up an interesting match against TO in a couple of weeks. Both small squads with some prominent players missing.

It's one match I'm going to make the effort to go and see this year. We're taking two RL newbies with us, one Dutch his girlfriend Hungarian, so it will be an interesting experience for them!

Quite frankly the worst refereeing performance ever at Broncos today. Batleys trainer spent about 60 minutes on the pitch with no water bottles trying to hide what’s he was doing. My entire box of 11 total novices to game called me on this at half time and asked why he was allowed to do this.

A sin binning for head shot that was given then without warning not given in actuality.

    Shocking.

I have commented on this before. Sooner they stop the trainer coming like that the better. I see it all the time. The 13 on the pitch should be able to know which way they are running without some fat block in shorts constantly running on to point.

One unusual thing (well to me anyway) on the Catalans website is that they now sell season tickets to fans living in the UK but who want to go to Dragons away matches (those played here). There must be a reasonable number to make it worth doing for them.

"We see a growing number of UK based Dragons fans supporting us at our games in the UK. For the 2025 season a major new feature is coming: a season ticket allowing fans to attend all the Dragons' away Super League matches"

Watch all Dragon’s UK Super League games
    Adults £240
    U16 £60
    65+ £165

There are a number of French RL fans in and around Manchester. I've met a few of them when I was over watching TO matches.
