The BBC games will also be on Sky.
I mean, I’d rather be on BBC One but Three is hardly the wilderness.
Sky all the way for me BBC is yesterday needs totally abolishing along with the licence fee.
In fact I'd bring back pirate radio much more fun

No. There were a few video ref calls on possible Catalans tries, one of which never looked a try (I think the ref was unsighted for a clear knock on) and a couple of 50-50 grounding calls which were denied to Catalans, but the ref was irrelevant to the outcome.
As others have said, it was pretty much men against boys and it was interesting that Catalans barely showed any shape in attacking movements at any time, not needing to as they were able to march up the field through their physical dominance.
London tried really hard and continue to give the impression that Eccles is a good coach at getting the most out of his players, but as others have said, they're really a top 6-ish Championship team, as you'd expect given they finished 18 points adrift of the top last year before their play-off purple patch.
Pretty much spot on its going to be a long season.
I would be looking to beef up the pack with some kiwis from the Auckland comp maybe kumals and there are a few French players out there worth a punt.
They need at least 8 more signings to give it a crack.
On the sponsorship front though having London back is brilliant for the game.

Don't worry it will stay as it is, just that the name will change and the people running it:)

Sad to say i agree men against boys tonight Broncos are at best a mid table championship side.

Are they offering a proper meal option anywhere this year Paul, or is a buffet in the Gold lounge the only hospitality option? Will go to a few games for sure
Both food it seems in boxes

Great to hear they are selling well. I know they will be going down but I really hope they can have some competitive games and results. Hopefully this year in the superleague can be a springboard to built their profile & fanbase.

This has been simmering in the background for over a year however the English press havant been on it.
The NFL don't have to buy Super League there is nothing to buy,all they have to do is put 5 million each on the table for 12 clubs and off they go.
NFL Europe even Phil Gould backs it.

At this rate the biggest sponsor the RFL will have is FINES:(
-
The clubs players coaches are all united in this sadly its all about insurance and the RFL being skint.
This isn't going to go away until resolved the clubs coaches and players were happy the way things were.

Broncos aim is for 7000 for the Wolves match on St Patrick's day.
We are taking 100 for the VIP hospitality all major blue chip companies ,should be a cracking St Patrick's day hopefully our flight won't be late as will have been at the Dragons the night before.

There was also a technical 12,000 (from memory) from a double header with the union team. I think our game was v Huddersfield.
I was there 8000 rah rahs walked out after playing Plymouth Albion with Graham Dawes playing for them at 48 years old it was a joke of a match.

Everytime i think Steve has got it wrong by letting a popular player go time proves he got it right.
Very impressed last night.
Was great meeting Costo who will be heading up things Radio wise soon.

As we start the new season I, like most, have been really impressed with the refreshing way the game has been presented. The impact of IMG seems clear. Good social media, good stories in the news, positive tv deals and a refreshing presentation of the game by Sky.
However the game itself feels less enjoyable. Clearly the amount of cards has a part in this, but these should reduce as players adapt to new rules over time you would think, but we are also slowly removing any aggressive play and this will only get worse from 2025. The sport is clearly going through a noticeable change, and there is a constant reference to it being needed due to the risk the game faces from health related issues, especially around head injuries.
Historically fans of TGG have always said that we have the greatest sport in the world, we just need to tell people about it. Well we are finally starting to tell people about it … but what if we no longer have the greatest game?
I hope I’m wrong by the way. But I think we need to find a balance in the sport that retains the aggression.
Totally agree

They have worked extremely hard to find one and have been unlucky with 2 major companies backing out at the last minute due to budget cuts.
I know how hard it is to find major sponsors willing to put in decent amounts,a few months ago (I am obviously not naming them or the club) we had lined up a fantastic blue chip sponsor for a major SL club only for the deal to evaporate at the last minute with a change of mind.
There is a sweet spot of around 30/40/50K at present that companies seem to be comfortable with which can buy you some LED advertising VIP maybe a sleeve shorts or back of shirt sponsorship however when it gets to 100/200/300 grand for a front of shirt it's tough at present.
Hopefully as the economy gets better things will improve overall at present the clubs do a pretty damm good job.
