It's okay we managed to stay in the top division for all of our history without help.
Whats history got to do with anything, thats all gone, even your 11th place finish recently. What matters is now and the future and at the moment Wire are Dire and the Burgess appointment could be a masterstroke (or not). Lets wait for the future to unfold. Burgess and Long dream team, now theres a statement I never thought I would hear
-
Think everyone might be forgetting that if Wire get an IMG 'A' rating they can't be relegated anyway

Would love a copy, but the 3 places in Warrington I normally use still had not had them by Tuesday morning

Yeah, you’re right. It was try saving. It was still dangerous and reckless. It’ll be banned come 2024, which says a lot about the “tackle” attempts used by Asiata four times on Saturday.
Fact, first contact is above the knee so legal.
Fact, medical report states consistent with getting boot caught in ground duting the course of the tackle, no ones fault, it just happens.
Fact, if its on social media it is not necessarily true
Fact, Paasi injured, just one of those things.
Fact, Walmsley played on and was sent back on by the coach (WTF)
Fact, LMS is a quad injury not a knee injury
No idea and don't really care about who the fourth one was.
Either way the reaction of Saints fans to target Asiata on social media is disgraceful, now stirred up by the ranting idiot.

FYI Still weren't in 6am today. Hope you can claim loss of income from the wholesalers/distributors.

For the second week running, your paper has not been available at my local newsagents in Warrington. Newsagent states it has not arrived at Menzies yet from the publishers. Tried in Tescos last night too and it wasn't visible in there either. I enjoy reading your paper, but don't want last weeks news on the day that this weeks round starts.

Thankfully he's not been convicted of a crime.
He has (if he did it) however broken a code of conduct he agreed to when he decided to be professional rugby league player in this country and that private organisation can dish out fines/bans as they want. Pretty sure he still gets his wages, so he isn't being deprived of a living either.
Not sure why the only real defence is "it wouldn't bother me so it shouldn't bother anyone". Well done, insults don't affect you, have a pat on the back. Victim blaming rubbish.
It is against the law to discriminate against anyone because of:
- age
- gender reassignment
- being married or in a civil partnership
- being pregnant or on maternity leave
- disability
- race including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin
- religion or belief
- sex
- sexual orientation
So if he has said what he is alleged to have said (haven't seen anything official) then I would have to disagree that he has only broken a Rugby League Code of Conduct
Equality Act 2010

Ah I was unsure whether it was him abuse was directed at in the preseason game by McGuire.
In the preseaon game it was directed at Tom Amone I think

Will we actually recognise Sundays Wakefield side with two 'trial' signings, one loan signing and a couple of other signings just this week I think. Do 'trial' signings count in the 5 allowed on loan/dual reg?
-
So its "We (SRD) can't get a loan because we have bad credit, so can you please go out and take a loan on our behalf"
Paul King to the board "Its ace this, we can now get a loan AND we will never default on it"
This is absolutely disgraceful and immoral IMO
They have already dsiguised a bucket collection as 'Share Ownership'

I see that this new source of finance has enabled another extended contract to be offered......... I think some people are blind to what is happening here. No more houses to mortgage so lets fleece the fans.

Ah, James Cunningham. A reverse Midas touch of a human. Relegated with Leigh, London and Toulouse and Toronto went pop when he was there. Not someone you’d want in a lottery syndicate.
Just trying to get Leigh in the convo?? He has never played for Leigh to my knowledge

Things like misinformation are easily dealt with via official websites

Now that would be funny. Does Marwan like Lobby Del ?
Not sure, but he loves his Merlot

Of course he is, but most importantly, his heart is in the right place and he absolutely loves the game we all support.
There is no right and wrong and in the sporting world, we all love a bit of controversy. Derek deserves his stick, but the things outside of work and rugby need to be applauded. Not one Chairman in our game is as charitable and as generous as Derek.
The thousands he gave to Kevin Sinfield come to mind and he uses our game as a great platform for his charitable work.
Wouldnt surprise me if he dressed up as Lobby the Leopard in the first televised game rat legged on Merlot just to wind a few more up too !
I think he has asked Marwan to do it

no its avoidable by planning properly and getting things in order, as others have pointed out, this wasnt a last minute birthday party FFS... this has been in the offing for months... Also stop spouting utter tosh through twitter.. that also helps.. you know, basic things that normal business manage on a day to day basis.
i love the jumping to an extreme though.. thats a great way to discuss things!
who else is making SL and RL look small time and an utter joke when they really dont have to?
Which school field are Sheffield playing on this year..... and before you mention your Olympic stadium, how many stands?

totally agree and well said.. i was working up a reply to Harry but this covers it..
I have no feeling one way or the other for Leigh but what I don't want (and this is the same for any club) is for that club to utterly embarrass the league for the want of some cheap headlines, especially when it is so easily avoidable.
Plenty other suspects to embarrass SL. Avoidable? I guess you would do that by throwing Leigh out.

Which was?
Because it was the only time Adrian Lam was available before he went off for his WC duies with Australia. So because it was put out early, the website wasn't ready (still isn't it would appear) either. I am sure you will all be uspset when the playing shirt is revealed. I would put money on it not being the one worn by Hardaker and will actually be some form of cherry and white. Time will tell. Also sounds like the new membership packages are selling well also.
As an aside this must be the worst messageboard for derogatory and insuting language towards others. I would stress though it is the usual suspects who know who they are yet are still allowed to stay.

Surely its more about what you say than what you wear, especially when it comes to RL, we get little enough press as it is and that was a very good interview not just for Leigh but for the game in general. Well done Derek
