A fantastic victory well done wigan i am pleased they won.

I’ll take the two points, a solid performance by Saints. I can’t fault Fartown for their effort they showed some promising touches, they will be a lot better than 23. The Saints goal kicking is still average, along with some of the PTB’s ie Walmsley & Blake. Full credit to the Fartown fans for backing their side for the full eighty minutes.
My highlight was the Colne Valley Museum what a great place. I would love to visit the Tolson Museum but i think id get outvoted for that because i should be doing “what real men do” drinking ale before the game and continue drinking ale in the freezing cold. All in all a lovely day.- 3

Sub 10k is poor, Hull looked like 1k of that
I didn’t think it was bad, after their start last week and it being very cold & damp.

He really wants the two point drop goal in Super League
I’m surprised he hasn’t demanded that the RFL scrap playing with the ball foot.

Think we gave away around 2,000 tickets or so. We've tended to this against Catalans in recent years, usually for Home Bargains employees. I don't have a problem with it as a one-off over the course of a season, better than an empty stand as it otherwise would have been against London. Probably about 12,000 paying customers, which is still good.
The club would’ve made a nice profit on the bars. They ran out of the pies pretty quickly, i don’t know who runs them but they’re naff. They always seem to have a problem with something not working or not enough stock being ordered.

What a fantastic victory, id imagine it would’ve been a great night for the fartown fans that made the journey.

My MoM from last nights match was the London fans, they put myself to shame as i was complaining about going to the match even though i got picked up and dropped off. Their side put up a good performance as well for a part time team ravaged by injury, they moved the ball around really quickly and could’ve had a couple more tries.
As for Saints it was ok, Bell, Percival, Clarke, Whitley, Welsby had good games but our kicks in general play was average at best.
I can see the goal kicking being a problem yet again for Saints, Makinson & Percy are very hit & miss, miss, hit, miss, miss.
The big positive for Saints was the attendance, it is amazing how many RL fans turn up in the last second.- 2

I thought Dews were really unlucky, their defence was solid for most of the game.

I love The Breeders.

One of my all time favourite songs, short but very sweet.

I love XTC especially the older stuff. What a fantastic drum pattern, if he put those symbols any higher he’d need stepladders.

I love The Nightingales

4,058 at the Saints/Salford match. I don’t know if it was a decent game as i don’t bother with friendlies.

I do love Beach House.

I have put £10 on Wigan to do the double CC & GF with Betfred 8/1.
£5 on Jai Field 14/1 & Bevan French 12/1 for top try scorer. -
I was really impressed with the Orrell St James No10 he had a fantastic match.

Good to hear, plenty of Wigan fans did the same for Saints last year.
I really don’t see a problem with it Damien, i do think most fans will be shouting for wigan. It’ll just be the rabid bitters praying for a Penrith win.

I’m just not sure if I can see Konrad Hurrell Performing week in and week out for St Helens. Don’t get me wrong he is a phenomenal carrier of the football but in this late stage of his career he doesn’t offer much else to his game. Defensively he isn’t great and his fitness will be a serious challenge.
I think agaisnt sides like castleford, London and Hull FC he will be a great threat but coming against wigan or Catalans he could get exploited.
I think playing Ben Davies would be a lot safer than Hurrell.
IM 50/50 when it comes to Hurrell NRLandSL. His attacking play can be really good and cause all sorts of problems for the opposition. It’s his defence that can be a problem for the side, but id sooner have him crawling on the pitch than Davies, i don’t rate him at all.

I would expect Bennison to be the nailed-on starting left winger. Blake and Percival in the Centres. Ritson and Hurrell are good backups but I don't think they're good enough to be starting for Saints. Bennison is young and he will continue to grow and perform, it would be silly of saints to drop him for a 28 year old who isn't getting any better.
I just don’t see Bennison as a winger, he scored one cracking try against Wire last season but he hasn’t got the pace or the size. He is brilliant under a high ball, but seeing him Vs Catalans in the PO-SF every time the Dragons kicked to him he’d get the ball, step forward a yard then he’d be smashed back five. Fullback is his best position but we’ll have to wait and see.

I am a Saints fan but when it comes to a British and hopefully one day a French club playing the Aussies i will always shout for one of our clubs. A few of my mates/workmates think i am a sick Judas and not a proper Saints fan because i’ll be cheering on wigan. I give them a few chants of wigan wigan wigan and have told them a win for a SL club could be a big positive for our game.

It does seem as if the Broncos have ignored off the field issues in trying to get fans through the gate for years.
Is it because they have moved around so much it would mean starting up again with promotion of the club into another different area of London ??.
