Some nice empty seats at Hull yesterday in their meaningless fixture with Huddersfield. IMGs master plan looks like it might be starting to kick in.
The electronic advertising hordings made the game for me.

Yes, he has a totally different style to say Springer. He's more like Junior Moors in style in my view...seems to amble in but can carry defenders with him, and he has a good offload game.
Reminds me of Roy Powell

Can't see Daniel Smith getting fired up for anything from what I've seen.

Well done Leigh for overcoming a monumental effort from Fev. The difference in the two teams was very poor defence out wide from Fev. Two of those tries would have certainly been stopped with a little more organisation. AND the obvious new rule that Super League teams can pass forward on occasion if they've got momentum. Proud of these players especially with all that's going off at the club. They are a very committed group.
Obstructive line run by Leigh stopping the slide in each occasion.

After a week that the club have had and to take it to Leigh like that shows we have the making s of a very good team. Just hope we can hold it together off the field.

Should be a good game tomorrow. If we play like we did v Huddersfield in round 1 (we made about 15 mistakes with the ball) then it could be a long afternoon for us. Always enjoyed Leigh v Fev games, and tomorrow should be no different (unless we lose ) Look at Wigan v Sheffield tonight, Pies were only leading 26-18 with 15 minutes remaining. And Wigan are a little bit better than us. Safe journey anyway, might see some of you in the Whistling Wren...
Sinbinned a Sheffield player to. Make sure too

Ah thought you meant life memberships. My name was not on the list.

I've tried emailing about my membership too. Apparently not on the list and asked to prove I have one. No reply yet.

Following a detailed six-month review involving all Tier Two and Three clubs alongside the RFL executive, the Betfred Championship will become a 13-team division for one season only in 2025, with League One expanding to become at least 10 teams - and applications to be invited for an 11th (for full details, see the summary below).
.......
Promotion and relegation between the Championship and League One will be determined by a Super Eights style competition involving the top teams in League One, and the lowest-ranked teams in the Championship.
Full details are still being worked through, but the impact will be to reduce the number of teams in the Championship in 2026 to 12.
Other rumours around that SL will expand to 14 with Catalans and Toulouse being admitted but receiving no central funding and paying travel expenses for visiting teams.....
Hwo do they think is going to watch this ######?

If Fev are the only team that can win matches in muddy conditions then bring back the winter season. I recall we got the same verbals when we beat Leigh at Post Office Road a couple of seasons ago. Then they went out and bought a brand new team. Plus I am old enough to remember when we beat high riding Trinity 11-7 in the 1967 challenge cup they openly suggested that Fev had watered the pitch before the match. Wakefield have a good side and sure enough will win plenty on hard grounds but a good team should be able to play conditions that are same for both sides.
Yes my mother was saying that yesterday
