The Last Leg tonight has had plenty about Adam Hills' SL gig. They've got the trophy in the studio too.
Last Leg firstly is an awesome program and secondly pretty much mentions RL most weeks. Adam Hills is a legend of a bloke.

There was an advert for Leeds v Wire during the break in Channel Four news tonight.
Mentioned it was completely free!
They’re definitely pushing it

If C4 can show with a bit of a push and a fresh approach there's more viewers to the found they'd replicate it. They think we're realistically maxed out for the value they put in that's why they don't.
I’d agree partially, but I don’t think they’re that bothered with the effort and expense it would take to get a bigger audience. They will have done the figures and it’s probably the case that the ROI isn’t there.

It is interesting that all the noise is about C4 and the game on Saturday, despite Sky having three other games. I wonder if it'll make them think about stepping it up a touch...
Doubtful tbh, we’re just a filler for Sky nowadays sadly. Probably on a par with women’s netball? They’re owned by Comcast now, thus the focus on American sports like NBA and NFL.

This is all really great. Two really well known, national TV presenters in Adam Hills and Helen Skelton with Mark Wilson commentating, who has really impressed me on Premier Sports. Sam Tomkins always comes across really well and is one of our most well known players and Leon Pryce is a good pundit. C4's coverage has great potential and I find the presenting team really exciting. It certainly offers something fresh and vibrant compared to what we see on the BBC and in particular Sky.
This ^ 100%.

I was just interested in the Leeds Hull attendance for the testimonial match. I find myself “doing the math” and hoping for a good pay day for said player
-
Anybody know? I’m always interested in testimonial attendances like.
Please and thank you.

It looks as if it could be another Barnestoneworth United season for the WWR.

Is that with the weekly shop thrown in also?

You would hope so - why would anyone in the UK be bothered about the NRL when we have 3 great RL leagues of our own? - especially after they destroyed this years world cup.
Totally missed my point. I was celebrating my sport being big news somewhere and bemoaning the fact that it’s minuscule news in this country.

If I recall the context of King speaking about "1000 season holders" was in regards to the impact of the Pandemic and uncertainty of fans attending in 2022, as well as unfounded speculation about where SRD will play next season. Plus it was in October, barely out of the last season. Normally sale range from 2-3k. And as attendance numbers are not set by the club, unlike certain local big names, they do not register STH whether they attend or not.
Don't let the truth get in the way.
SRD are moving.
The next ground will be cheaper to rent and will increase match day revenue possibly up to a £1m.
It will be nearer the city centres.
Easier to get to by bus.
Sure local parking is ######, but it's a 5min Uber from Prestwich or Manchester city centre.
Is the same land size as Cas, etc and can be expanded.
The club is well run and is debt free.
If it's Moor Lane, it will be on a historical old rugby ground.
It will be in an multicultural area, which would allow the game to continue its historical tradition of inclusiveness. Too much of some aspects of RL seems to dwell in monocultural Tory/Brexit voting small town silos .Others the very opposite. Make it always the opposite.
The RFL will find it hard to continue suppressing clubs like SRD, especially in regards to Academies.
It will have a cracking atmosphere. It could be developed as a community hub for Kersal/Broughton/Prestwich.
The camera views of the glistening megapolis of Manchester and Salford will look brilliant
Modern, glamorous and progressive. Everything we want RL to be.
It's walking distance from our house.
If RL can not make a fist of it in Manchester/Salford I think it's more than SRD to blame. If RL wants to stem the decline, the RFL needs to stop being a lobby for four or so big hugely indebted clubs and go for leather in places like Manchester/Salford.
I absolutely love this glass half full view (so not the rugby league norm sadly). Keep it up! wire fan.

#2 in the whole country in 2021. Sadly unthinkable in this country

The wakey faithful have waited such a ridiculous length of time for this to get going, let’s hope this is the real thing finally. Then hopefully Cas follow quickly. Wire fan.

Do your own research. Then answer my question - how much are you prepared to stump up?
Most museums sound great to the enthusiasts but constantly struggle financially. A RL one will be at the lower end of that league. It is unlikely to generate much, if anything, towards the economy of Huddersfield or Kirklees in general.
Please don't laugh at your own jokes - it is quite childish.
£1 each then? Let’s DO this…..

Where do you live and how much are you prepared to contribute towards the maintenance of this museum?
Sadly the vast majority of Kirklees taxpayers have no interest in RL, whether that is it's history or it's future. To ask them to subsidise your personal interest is both arrogant and ignorant.
You’ve not answered the question again mate, let’s have a guess then. £1 a year per person maybe? Even a Yorkshire person couldn’t complain about that surely

I am a Kirklees taxpayer. I guess that you aren't.
How many Kirklees taxpayers are there mate and what are the running costs? If you don’t know the answer to both those questions then surely you’re moaning just for the sake of it?

Is this just for Kirklees taxpayers, who will be footing the bill for the running costs?
