If we can get between 63-68,000 annually to Newcastle, I don’t think that’s a particularly bad thing or something we should spend too much worrying about.

I do think we should be making the weekend more enjoyable for those that do go, though. More games isn’t the answer and we have to be realistic and understand that not everyone wants to stay in the ground but still offering those people something that keeps them engaged with better fan zones and some entertainment beyond the norm.

30,000+ empty seats is not something to worry about?  Wowzers.

I have always been wary of the idea that, above all, Rugby League needs to `get bigger', 'do X to grow'. `do Y to grow' etc. ad nauseum.

What is wrong with being `small' so long as your `small' is sustainable?

Diamonds are generally on the small side, glass baubles can be considerably bigger but who (with any brain at all) would swap even a small diamond for a big glass bauble?

Or, to put that another way: Rugby League is a bit like caviar; you don't need much of it to realise that once acquired, it is a taste you will always prefer to the ordinary.

You know the latest Sky deal is 40% down on the last one, right?  What makes the next deal “sustainable “?

If every supporter would stay in the stadium it‘d be packed. I reslised that most fans stay for their team playing and leave afterwards. 3 games of 80min a day is probably too much for fans and neutrals. 9‘s would add Entertainment and Excitement and make sure people stay.

with regard to the french TO13 had much more travelling Fans than Catalans.

It really wouldn’t be packed though.  The capacity is 52,000.

10 neutral Germans been there. Seen a few Americans (USARL) too. Great city and nightlife. We all enjoyed MW.

Yeh, I was there all weekend and it certainly is a great city and great nightlife.  It should stay there for a few more years at least, we really do need to fill more of those 30,000 empty seats though.

Meh...... for a 62000 crowd just a few weeks after the CC final ( which has 1000s of neutrals attending) - you take some pleasing lad.

Pretty much zero growth for the last 5…6…7….8 years?  30,000 seats unsold, need to advertise more and get more locals and neutrals to give it a go.

What's the benefit to scrapping the cap? Other than overpaying some players and feeding greedy agents.

    (1) Keeping the good players we already have in the sport in this country.

    (2) Attracting people from other sports.

    (3) Attracting more youngsters to the sport during the teenage years when they see that they can earn a great living from the sport.

    Apart from that?  Nowt.

That's already been shown to be utter bunkum - an urban myth - a lie!

In 22 seasons Wfd have NEVER finished bottom.

They have finished next to bottom 3 times - you may say that's "dodging relegation".

That means that for 19 seasons, SOMEONE ELSE has been dodging relegation.

3/22 close shaves does not equal "dodging relegation all these years".

Ok, you’ve not been “dodging relegation” statistically, I think how I’d put it though is “happy to do the absolute bare minimum on AND off the pitch to just about stay in Super League”.  Happy to help.

    In order for me

Wakefield v Toulouse, so important in the relegation battle.

Catalan v Wire, seeing how bad the Wire are and watching Powell's grimicing face - again.

Saints v Wigan, could go either way but seen too many of these season after season.

Huddersfield v Salford, hoping Salford keep up the free flowing football.

Hull v Hull KR, who is actually the worst team on Humberside this season, bragging rights up for grabs.

Leeds v Cas, bottom of the list it just doesn't grab my desire to watch it.

    Leigh v Fev for me.

The top NRL players are the highest paid in the world

    Fact

The NRL salary cap in moving up to 11 million aussie dollars next season

Most top earning super rugby players earn a maximum of £400,000 dollars a year way below the NRL

So losing players is only likely to be to france of japan

France and Japan not “in the world” then?  Fact.
