Have we honestly banned one of our life long supporters for the rest of the season for covering up a couple of letters on an advertising board with his flag I know how important advertising sponsors are to the club, but this is just overkill in the extreme.

I was just pleased to get the 2 points, fantastic away support, we probably took 3 times the following That league favourites Oldham brought to DP.. Amazing, take a bow you staunch Townies.

I hoped for better yesterday but got what I probably expected. When the fixtures came out, not many of us thought we would get anything from the first 2 games, with the quality of players we have missing we never had a chance. Newcastle away and Rochdale at home are now must win games but will be tough. Let’s all keep getting behind our club to see them through this horrific injury crisis. UTT

Another tough game with a depleted squad, hopefully we are still competitive until we get some bodies back. The Newcastle game might not be the walk in the park it was looking like, crack is they are bringing 5 in from Cas .

Oldham were obviously superior to us for most of the game, they didn’t need the ref to piggy back them up the field with some baffling pens, you knew they were coming. Tough opener, but I don’t think we helped ourselves by playing one of the leagues best full backs and stand off out of position. Gutted about the new injuries, looks like we will be without them for a few weeks, Im sure we’ve been cursed UTT

It’s a shame we are playing the odds on favourites to romp this league in the first game. It gets no better next week with a visit to the other big spenders. Hoping we can put a shift in like we did against haven, if Sammuts on top form we might have a chance. We aren’t having much luck competing against football on TV, City v Man Utd for the Ike game, Man Utd v Liverpool on Sunday, and again for our next home game. Let’s hope they don’t affect the gates too much. UTT.

I don't want to start naming folk as every player was superb. It was a joy to watch after we started playing sets out. Some defensive frailties to work on, but it was nice to watch at times.

If it wasn't for Aiye & JD the jam International select had nothing. Newton and Castle celebrating with the crowd when they went 16 up like it was over, and the Haven boys dancing with their tops off after 15 minutes.....then the wheels fell off in spectacular fashion

Wow, top man Graham. We all think we are all Town die hards, we are paled into insignificance when you look at what he has done for the club. I’ve been turning up and handing my cash over for nearly 60 yrs,  it’s not enough to keep the club going. People like Graham are priceless, we have had plenty like him down the years, they are special people who have Workington Town deep in their hearts. Thanks to you all. UTT

Somebody must have put some money in, I can see the logic in bringing in overseas players that live in the area opposed to lads that travel from Yorks/Lancs at a premium. It's just a gamble whether you get caviar or cabbage as they all look like caviar on youtube reels. Then if you do get a good one there's always a bigger club willing to take them off your hands.

If we beat them at Dominoes I would be celebrating They do have some unsavoury young so called fans. I doubt they are even interested in the game and probably don’t attend home games

Played some good stuff at times and held our own against their bigger pack. It's a shame two mistakes led directly to tries and that proved the difference in the end. But loads of positives to take and Muz will definitely be the happier coach of the two. The Haven International select have a lot of work to do to stay in the championship playing like that.

For us our whole team played really well. Sammut has definitely had better games in a Town shirt, but it's a dead rubber game so not the end of the world. 

I found it quite amusing how much Haven and their fans celebrated winning, I suppose they may not have many chances to do so in the championship next season as some of their players were very poor. But I suppose it sets up the Ike very nicely. UTT! 

You can’t blame them for celebrating an away win against us, we would have done the same. It was looking bleak for them at the end of last season so to win at DP must be a great feeling for them. I still don’t know how they went from non payment of players to signing overseas internationals, it’s a strange one, but they live to fight another day.

Missed the game but pleased we gave it a good go and ran them close. Good crowd considering the zero interest in this comp, hoping a few come back down for the Ike game in 2 weeks. UTT

Gutted to be missing this one. Just hoping for a good performance and no injuries. I’m hoping these games against Championship teams hold us in good stead for the start of the league games. Best of luck boys and UTT.
