Great post. The international game HAS to be prioritised now. Any games almost will do. Give us a 6N RL, anything that drags us into consistent year on year competition. If we win great, if we lose actually I don't care... we need games at this point. We also need an SOO equivalent. North vs South, or whatever that may look like. Just something that puts together all the best players against each other, in a best of 3 pressurizing game. -

So who’s left after this? Any obvious replacements? -

Kind of. Longer longer term, those SH nations will have to grow the NH game. it isn’t going to grow much having Tonga, Samoa and Fiji. That’s not even insulting. I’ll root for Samoa in the final etc but, they need to find a way of getting England, France, Wales and co the same level. otherwise all these words are just vapid sentiment. -

I think when the World Cup count is 12-1, They know we’re inferior. I do not like saying that, but it’s stating the bleeding obvious. -

We do. The occasion gets to us, including the fans. Most countries are excited by semi finals and final games, the fans in England and the players get giddy and freightened. I’ve seen it too many times for it to not be the case. also we are very conservative and revert to type. We always play safe ineffective stuff in sports because it’s a safe and comfort zone, that won’t work in a semi where looking at Samoa, they threw the kitchen sink at it. We retreated into our shell. -

It’s been 1 out and that’s it. Callum Watkins has been terrible. He’s cost us effectively a 14 pt swing that’s unforgivable. -
