Hard to see a win if I’m honest but fingers crossed I’m wrong.

On the comment about Jack Briggs, Rams had to keep him off following him failing a Head Injury Assessment -- which will keep him out of the London game at least.
Very helpful, thanks. Can you help with the other question....about about late substitutions ??

Substitution policy? To keep our two best forwards off the pitch for 50 and 60 minutes, Sam Day only coming on when the game was lost? And leave our other prop on the bench till well into the 2nd half And this when we were missing two starting props up against a much bigger pack. Our best forward on the day was Jack Briggs and again he spent too long on the bench. Only 1 sub in the 1st half and guess what, we concede a try right at the end of the half.
A simple 6th tackle kicking game shouldn't be that difficult to organise but as soon as we get in the opposition 20, there's no moves, no leadership, no game management. Coates and Hookem just putting in unplanned short kicks which no one knew were coming so no chase. Sykes might be 43, but he's a better player than both. Unless he's injured, he should be playing.
McShane at hooker tackled everything but also created little and gave away at least two of the penalties for ball stealing. Sam Day was far more creative in 20 minutes than McShane was in 60.
Our 1st try came only from a Crusader player running so far out of the line, he created a huge gap. Our 2nd, a late consolation when the game was lost, Field having spent most of the match on the bench
There was a gulf between the sides. Crusaders barely had to get out of 2nd gear. Had it not been for a few great try saving tackles from full back McShane, Crusaders would have posted 30+ points on a wet, muddy day
And March has been at the Rams for a year now.
Cracking post.

Defence was pretty good but we gave ourselves a lot of practice. Thought Jack Briggs had an outstanding game.
But
Our attack is clueless. Outgunned in the forwards March leaves our best two forwards Ferguson and Day on the bench for 50 and 60 minutes. I can only guess that Everett, Garside and Sykes are all injured. We have no 6th tackle plays. It took 70 minutes to put in a contested attacking kick. Not sure who our captain is but we looked leaderless again.
On this showing we will be lucky to win 5-6 games all season.
Agree. Thought all the way back I the car about what to pop on here and in the end I couldn't decide between appalling and shocking so decided to say both.
Appalling: very bad; awful.
Shocking: causing a feeling of surprise and dismay
Happy with that......

From his two previous games, I'd say we'll get a fair crack of the whip and if we try to play good, open RL then he'll let us ........ Mess about and try to spoil and he'll clamp down on it ......
Agree. Think he's done a cracking job previously. Certainly a million times better that the SL Ref we got for the last Boxing Day game at our gaff. He was shocking.

Great news. Well done all

Cracking result that. Have to say not what I was expecting. Full marks to the lads.
what a shame we will probably lose money going to London, but who knows. Maybe we can win there too, though they look like they put in a decent effort at Bradford.-

Wait for the draw on Saturday Batley will get either the lowest ranked team at home, or a big superleague at home...
Short odds on that Coolie. Aint it always the way??

Personally I'm not bothered about the Challenge Cup as it usually ends in a rubbish draw.. If Mars had a rugby team... We would draw them away in the cup,
Spot on. Hard to remember when we had much luck in't cup......

If that's true about PM not being "bothered" about the Cup competitions, you would at least hope he would have at have the decency to bother to tell us fans.
At least then we would know not to be bothered about taking days off work to attend matches, or travelling up to Cumbria.
Or buying season tickets or tickets to away matches and friendlies. Or paying into Squadbuilder or sponsoring players. In fact I don't think I'd bother doing those things at all.
Course he’s bothered. Ain’t a sportsman, never mind a coach in any sport that ain’t bothered about winning. If they weren’t they wouldn’t be in the game. It might not be his priority but believe me he wants to win.

I think whatever the team does on the pitch has very little influence on the long term viability of the club, and that's the same for a lot of clubs of differing standards. We could be promoted and soon find ourselves in much deeper muck than we are in now.
What matters is how many people go to watch the team and invest in it emotionally and financially. Stick with it through thick and thin, regardless of how we play.
And let's face it, that isn't many of us. And those of us that do are of a certain age. It was a disappointing crowd today.
Until Dewsbury and the sport as a whole engages younger and more dynamic, open-minded people then it does now - and on a much broader scale then the M62 corridor - then it is in serious trouble. So many opportunities lost and so much money squandered.
Until there's a major rethink and an acceptance of failure across the sport, all we can is get behind the players, get behind the club, get friends and family and people who we meet in the pub to get along to matches and spend a few quid, and hope they get invested like we do. I'm not bothered what division we're in next year, just want to see a team out on the pitch and a few folk in the Red, Amber and Black.
I think this was exactly what IMG were brought in to sort but all it seems to have done so far is to alienate a lot of the old timers that you allude to as dwindling in numbers already....

A chance for Marchy to give squad players some game time - and the chance to throw their hat in the ring.
Gate/ car park takings
Bar takings (nice & busy in Royal Suite after the game)
Additional Half Time raffle - especially as the winner handed back the £100 winnings - great gesture
Additional AMBER RIBBON raffle - raising funds to help support the club
.....and the Jeff Grayshon Cup
Plenty of positives
Well said. Saved me some typing.

Mc Shane Looked very promising, especially at FB. Saved two tries early doors for starters and looked to have a good rugby brain. Luke Mearns impressed again too, but no one had a bad game really....

Alot of bs from rams about money etc.
Moor isn't some small operation, they'll turnover 100/thousands a year, dewsbury tried pulling a fast one, on clued up business folk.
Wowsers...Two Dewsbury teams..would have hoped for better...

A decent crowd should have put a few bob into the Moor coffers.
They don't need brass apparently BSJ. They're just behind the Rhinos and Wigan in the finale stakes, didn't you know....

On attack, yes. Defensively, less so.
He relied upon the opposition playing in long collared shirts.
Defence is overrated BSJ. bring Back Maurice Bamford and all that free flowing stuff... Loved it...

I reckon it could be very tight and will be sweating if Moor build up even a small lead down that Batley slope in the first half...

Just watched opening games of 89/90 highlights. We scored some great tries, what a player Marquis Charles was.
Damn right he was. Absolute class. We ain’t had a centre as good as him since imho.

Well, if we do manage to beat whoever gets through from that round it looks like we will be facing Batley away in the round after, assuming that they can beat Newcastle.
If Moor do win their first game then they intend to play us at Mount Pleasant. If we were to beat them then we could be playing two away ties in the CC at the same ground. Has this happened to any club before?
What a shocker. One visit to the Mount is a disaster, two impossible to contemplate....

Just watched the Saints game and what a game that was. just reminded my why I loved that team under MB so much. Forwards who could pass a ball and who looked to offload at very opportunity, make no wonder I keep going on about it, that's what I was brought up on. Forwards who could play 80 minutes too, and the game was faster than most people remember. There was barely a break in the whole game. Thought the ref was outstanding, could see a forward pass, but let the game go if he could. Best 80 minutes of Youtube there is I reckon.
Hard to pick anyone one out to be honest, everyone of them gave 100% but thought Coughlan was immense and that try by Nathan was class.
Anyone know how old Carroll was at the time? he just went and went and not sure he was tackled once without releasing the ball. Happy days...

Didn't see that coming. Must have improved since North Wales. Well played Lads...
Maybe I should keep staying away, therefore guaranteeing us a win....
