So Odsal wasn't taken over by RFL and Mark didn't help them out. Thanks for the truth.
Well said Silcoates.

On a separate note I have to say that there speccies managed to beat even Fevs when it comes to gallantry and politeness. Had to move after 30 minutes. Won't be a loss if they end up folding if you ask me.

I went to watch this today as I thought it would an interesting game. As a neutral observer I think Haven used their trials and tribulations as motivation they looked like they wanted it more than Dewsbury. I think the Fergie red card was the catalyst that spurred them on to eventual victory. It's a shame as I wanted Dewsbury to win
Does anyone know why fergie was sent off?

Well it’s looking like we won’t have a game on Sunday as Whitehaven player’s have basically gone on strike saying they won’t fulfil any of the remaining fixtures this season.

One worrying sign yesterday was hearing the team fratching amongst themselves when mistakes we're made. This is not a good look and sign of trouble within the dressing room from top to bottom.
If March can't galvanise the side than we can recruit the best players we can afford but they will still play as a bunch of individuals and apportion blame elsewhere.
There’s no trouble I the dressing room from what I can see. You only have to see all the injured / dropped/ suspended players sat around the dugout and mixing with the other lads after the game to see that. I remain convinced that we are where we are because we did t spend anything after last year and our pack just can’t compete. Recently I think you can add in the fact that we have simply lost the knack of winning (yesterday perfect example). If had had Reiss, Ronan, Dale, Owen and Ollie I reckon we might have sneaked it yesterday. Still don’t understand why he picked Keenan and then left him on the bench all afternoon mind

Well that was a game we lost. But simple errors just handed the game to Barrow. Turner was too quiet, O'Connor was far and away the best Rams player, how it wasn't MoM is a mystery. Defended well but had to do too much as as we handed the ball over with errors and penalties.
Brad Graham must be one of the best catchers of a high ball and we gave him zero chances.
Not sure why Butterworth wasn't playing, but guess we will never know. Why Tomlinson was left on the bench till 78th minute another mystery. Like the disappearance of Dale Ferguson.
Guess March is just preparing for next season, but would be nice if the supporters got to know if he's given up on this season.
Butterworth carrrying shoulder injury unfortunately. Missed him today. Have to agree about Dale and Keenan though. Why pick a player and keep him on bench for 78 minutes while some forwards are dropping balls left right and Centre?

You little monkeys keep winning just when it looks like your going to drop out the top 6,couple of teams breathing down your neck, but what is it all for..
You don't go up even if you win the grand final, that's been reserved for Wakefield.. Which personally I think is wrong.
Play offs are for the teams that have chucked in a few quid this season to be also ran's
Games heading for a dark place on its current course.
They main question is have they got electronic perimeter advertising? No point winning games if you haven’t.

So, after the Ready Steady Go crowd have had their fun, what about the match?
We were comprehensively outplayed last week, whilst Barrow put up a decent show at home. We look likely to be light in the pack again, unless we can draft in some assistance from Huddersfield, and our options in the backs continue to be limited. Will we see a spirited "backs against the wall" fightback or a continuation of spirited but lacklustre defeat?
Information coming out of the club is an all time low and interest amongst all but the most dedicated fans seems to be waning. Add in the impact of summer holidays and we might be struggling to even half-fill the North Stand. We definitely need something to reinvigorate the fans and get a bit of momentum behind the club again as we return to the vagaries of C1.What will it be?
Hopefully a narrow defeat only for us to enjoy. Think the pack will be too light for a win. Ill be happy as long as we put in the effort...

Yes, but TRL won't close them down piecemeal - it might be the entire platform.
I think the forums would go better if Facebook were to close down. Most of the chat is on there these days and just a few of us oldies left to communicate the old way.

Yes and remarkably generous in their appreciation of our players efforts remembering that they too were bottom only last season and were relegated....
Have to say that the Wakefield species near us were very pleasant and despite the score I had a very enjoyable afternoon.

Well done to the players again for a solid effort against a full-time team. Can't fault the effort and a fair bit of skill, played some good rugby despite the sin bin and losing Walker early on. Thought Butterworth and Turner were outstanding.
Zeus Silk plays above his weight and Jack Briggs looks like he's a really good player already.
Good to see so many Trinity fans in the ground.
I agree 100% would the previous speaker.

Clearly we are going down, without any doubt, and the sparse attendance by Rams fans said it all. What sort of team we might have and even what sort of division we might be playing in are questions to answer.Indeed BSJ. The lack of Dewsbury fans is really worrying and for the first time in many a year I am starting to wonder if we will have. a team to follow for much longer. Was there more than 200 Rams fans there on Sunday

Pretty poor game contested by two pretty poor teams within a pretty poor atmosphere. No team deserved to win so the team that won were the justified winners. The Rams Darby and Joan section will be salivating regarding one their own Fergie being awarded the MOM which I agreed with. Donny were unenthusiastic and pretty garbage and we still came out second best. Some of our more experienced players are just penalty machines. Tackle two in their 30 we tip their player. Ref correctly awards penalty kick to touch sends us 40m down field next phase try time. I could go on but I can’t be a_ _ _ d.
Well, I enjoyed it. We never gave in and it could have gone either way and that’s all I ask. Not sure what the Rams Derby and Joan Club is but if it means that I enjoyed the performances of both Sykes and Fergie then I’m very pleased to be a member of said club

Another great effort today, but if Sykes’ injury changed our play, then we are still too reliant on him being there. It was another second half of struggling to get out of our half and not scoring a try, although we nearly did and would likely have won if O’Connor’s goal kicking skills were anything to go by. It was liking having another “just boot it” Danny Brough on the field. Who knew O’Connor could kick like that?
When Donny equalised, am I the only one who thought his conversion attempt went wide of the posts?
It definitely went wide of the posts. No question.

Kudos to the players for a great performance. It's a shame Sykes got injured as it was only after he went off that Pauli made his breaks that turned the game. Good to see Ferguson back but my MOM was Jack Bibby who really took on the Doncaster pack.
It will be interesting to see if there is any action on the Jackson incident. It looked like a penalty/yellow card from where I was sitting.
We were just inches short of winning.
Agree. Felt for the lads today. No lack of effort and could easily have won with a bit of luck. Had Syksey stated on I think we would have done it.
Shame about the failed interception on their last tackle. Gave them 6 more tackles from which they scored. Onwards and upwards hopefully-

Back to the match. After Bradford, am feeling optimistic it might be a close game, but then I have had a drink...well you have to watching England playing football
I agree but what’s that famous saying? It’s the hope that kills you.
Until the effort against Bradford I didn’t think we’d win again but if we play like we did last week we have a shout. -

I thought the point was the price was similar but the metrics for RL are much lower/less. Are you suggesting clubs charge a fiver in cause it's a shorter game and less people attend?
I’m saying you charge what you think people will pay. We’ve discussed it on here many times and I think the majority believe that on balance £20 is the best option. I was merely agreeing with the Donny fan who felt it was a tad high. Maybe a discount if you book in advance would be an option?

All this fuss over a measly 20 quid.RL one of the toughest sports, next to boxing.these lads and lasses put their bodies on the line.
Agree and I’d pay the £20 but many thousands in Dewsbury won’t. I’d say check our gates, but they’re not released anymore for some reason.

There's also a much larger crowd, more expensive seats and I expect sponsorship is ten fold what a champ RL side attract.
You’ve missed the point. As you say yourself it’s a bigger event, bigger crowd and longer duration but we are charging more. BTW £19 will get you any seat at Headingley. There are no more expensive seats.

Bills need paying!

You can watch three hours of t20 cricket at Headingley for £19 amd they have bigger bills than us to pay.

Does a move to Halifax increase the quality of their back line though?
Who cares but it def decreases ours. I rate him and if we played him at FB where he belongs he could still do a good job for us.

Surely not BSJ. One player head and shoulders above the others this year and no surprise he won’t be with us next.
