  1. I knew this was a banana skin game and we looked down saw it and still slipped on it. What a dire performance, every way I look at it I come back to it being a mistake to play Walker who was awful. I believe he's been ill and his head wasn't in the game. I thought he was bringing Saunders on for him but brought Key off instead. Anyway that's enough on that.

I thought maybe we could win ugly towards the end, then Tomposh knocks on playing the ball and that was that.

Walker has been ill so might be doubtful. As long as Burns is at fullback i'll be quietly confident!

Would not want to put all 3 into the 17 together I expect  against what could be tricky opponent's  who scored 72 against Cornwall away.

I can' t see an obvious replacement for Stephenson, my choice would be Galea to centre and Mossop into the backrow.  This is a banana skin game, we need to be on it.

Yes Archer not what I was expecting, just taking the ball in, but seemed lively enough.

Did I see someone go off injured towards the end? Maybe him?

    Lightowler.

  5. Yeah I guess patchy was the right description. Burns was class again but were we trying something different at kickoff? It was shocking miscommunication and would've cost us against a better team.

Add some better structure to the good stuff we did and cut out the daft errors and we'll be fine.

Next week should be good and a difficult selection headache for Muzz especially with Scholey and Walker available.  Looking forward to seeing the new lads.

We'll have to wait and see what role he wants Archer to play but that's another string to our bow. Interesting times to be a Townie.

Well done to the club to get them here so quickly 👏

No Scholey, Walker , B Taylor or Galea so I guess Archer will get a start.

Galea now added to Sunday's squad.

Great talking about the past lads , but our new signing is here and in contention for Sunday, didn't realise he had signed a 2 year deal as well, hope jet lag doesn't hit him and we get to see him in action, UTT 🔵⚪🏉

The caption says "will he be the only new face on Sunday?" .

He looks a big'un , somewhere between Andrew Beattie and Brett McDermott, hope he's as good.

I was watching a Saints game on YouTube from about 1989 and Tony Kay was playing . How good was he , probably the best I’ve seen . Just brilliant

We had some damn good centres in that era Kenny Kerr, TK and Vinny Fawcett.

Chris Taylor is the best we've had in a while.

  10. Just bothered good lads like Marwood and Walton get disillusioned then the new players move on next year but it happens,  gotta keep going forward. You can also rest players carrying niggles.

We've seen our fair share of duck eggs from overseas so any talk of promotion is premature I think. But by all accounts the two that have been announced already have loftier ambitions than L1 so I'm hoping they're gonna be crackers

I'm excited to have 3 hopefully quality players and competition is good, my only concern is that if two are forwards on current form who can you leave out? Liam is getting better every week, Tyler couldn't even get a game and Grant and JJ were superb at Hunslet.

Whats do you reckon has brought on the change of direction from mostly local players.?

3 imports suddenly is a big

    statement,,,👍

Excess money  burning a hole ?😁

    Going for promotion?🫣

Its only team building if they stay beyond this year?

    Not! Complaining!

I think the idea was always to go for promotion but when you've got two big spending clubs hogging the promotion spots what do you do? If you've got investors and new sponsors on top of a solid financial base then why wouldn't you? We were unlucky to meet Oldham and Keighley in an injury crisis but there's a long way to go yet. Put the pressure on and see if they crack.

Great stuff, so thats one her and apparently 2 more, not 1 more?

What extra player would you like out of interest? Be sensible..go on you can do it this once!

  14. Just got back and that was a good win. Our forwards haven't always dominated thus year but it looked like the plan was to take them on in a forward battle, especially after Brad went off early on. Looks like we'll need a winger for next week. Chris played most of the game with a dead leg. Few players got into the first half because Scholey n Tomposh were destroying them up the middle. Reid had his best game in a Town shirt and the Budsey break was class.

Nice to watch a game that wasn't ruined by the ref. Who was it?
