Another huge leap. Are you able to do any core stuff?
-
I am going for an exhaustion test tomorrow. I doubt I will do 100, but it is my last chance to beat you to it.
-
Good man ? I was just hungry. Ate some food and then did 40 minutes on the heavy bag
-
Week 5, dy 3, repeat: 20-20-24-24-20-20-22-50 There is a clear improvement. I am worried about whether I can complete the set, though it is still knackering. And, booze, a lack of sleep, exercise yesterday and other whiney excuses mean I just knocked it out to be done.
-
@bobbruce, you will surely be finishing the 100 at the end of week 5 if not earlier. Push ups week 5, day 2 (repeat): 19-19-22-22-18-18-22-45+(80) I think the last post inspired me to do some extra.
-
Although, I was exhausted and not in the mood, the start of Week 5 was a lot easier than when I last did it.
-
Good work! Week 5, Day 1 again: 36-40-30-24-40+(50) The last set was 42 last time, and my record at that point was 43. That said, I was not in the mood mentally or physically was just got it done.
-
I had a day off yesterday. You did better than me. You might have had a few things catch up with you, your body just decided you needed a rest, or a slight bug that you are not aware of. Well done on pushing to as many as you could, that is the target.
-
I would not trust the first two, and that nurse will work with a doctor.
-
Sorry, are you skipping the exhausion test?
-
About 40 minutes on the heavy bag left me drenched. Press ups tomorrow
-
It says to takes the time needed. If your arms were tired, it worked.
-
It was not a case of not quite squeezing another one through. It was just not happening.
-
Final test: 84 Not too bad, pretty pleased with that. Feeling good up to 50, doing them in sets of ten with a breath in between, then upto about 65 with a breath in between each five, then pushing them out one by one. Note to add, that means I caught up with @bobbruce, except he did it after eight other sets of press ups.
-
That is pretty fine. Good stuff!
-
It does feel like that. It is a sign of struggling, which is what getting fitter feels like.
-
Right, report time... @Griff9of13 has come up with stuff. Nice @Bedford Roughyed was going great guns, and is now using arms instead of legs. Good stuff. @Wiltshire Rhino has just done Day 4, like the fine man he is. @Saint 1 is doing great. @gingerjon has been doing well on the weight, but we need a report.... @Damian has made us proud. I will be next on the bag on Saturday evening. @Johnoco owes us a report @Niels has been doing very well @tim2 has been exercising well (particularly in the circumstances)

I am on that final set tomorrow. Once I get towards fifty, it will be really tough. I will be disppointed not to make seventy, and pleased with eighty. Anything over would be a huge bonus. It sounds like Week 6 is definately the one you should be on.
-
Eight-f'ing-4! I think you are going to do the 100 in five days time. An extra day of rest does help, doesn't it.
-
I am impressed at how many are pushing up and the overall progress.
-
That counts as a stamina day
-
Yes, mine were much longer. Keep going!
-
It does state "REST 90 SECONDS BETWEEN EACH SET (LONGER IF REQUIRED)" Seems pretty clear to me!

Week 6, day 3. After rest on Monday and other exercise on Sunday (i.e. no excuses). 26-26-33-33-26-26-22-22(those with short breaks, then a couple of minutes)-60+(60) A poor last set, when I had been feeling pretty good. I am now on a final set of 100+ on Friday. I was feeling pretty good until I did the last set and struggled from 42. We will see, I might go back to the start of week 6 and no further back to take the lead from @bobbruce ?
-
A good idea. I might well try and stick with 6, we shall see.
