What's is happening in Rugby League?

Recommended Posts

All other sports are being talked about except for Rugby League.

Does anyone know if this season is over or if not when will it restart.

I think it's a matter of everyone wanting what THEY want instead of what is good for the game in general. ie: The Super League don't want relegation yet the Championship want promotion .... and that's the problem with having two different governing bodies as well as people running them who have any kind of club involvement.

Again, some in the Super League want things to restart as soon as possible, even behind closed doors because they want the TV money, yet what good would it be for Championship and League 1 clubs to play with no crowds there ?  I suspect another reason for the Super League clubs wanting to start - and knowing the other two divisions don't - is that they can finish their season knowig that there are no teams ready for promotion ..and therefore no need to relegate any from the top.

If Super League clubs want tv money then why not have an seperate interim tv competition for themselves behind closed doors (as per the old BBC2 Trophy) which can finish just before Christmas, and then everyone in every division restarts the current season in the new year from where it left off in March ?
