Giants recall Dickinson

Keighley Cougars went into Sunday’s League opener against South Wales Scorpions without prop Tyler Dickinson, who was re-called from his loan spell by parent club Huddersfield Giants.

The year-long loan agreement means that Dickinson could return to the Cougars once the Giants start getting some players back fit, but that would not be until after Easter at the earliest.

“We are going to miss Tyler and he has benefited from his time with us over the last six months or so,” said coach Paul March.

“He has an opportunity now to keep his shirt at Huddersfield and that is what he wants to do.

“As much as I would love to get him back at some stage this year, he has got ambitions to stay in Super League and I really hope he now takes his opportunity at Huddersfield.”
