Free agent Alex Brown will complete a move to Batley shortly, TotalRL understands.
The winger, who was released by Halifax yesterday, spent the second-half of last season on loan with the Bulldogs and scored 14 tries in 13 appearances.
Former Leigh winger Brown joined Halifax from the Bulldogs ahead of the 2015 season, however things didn’t go to plan at The Shay.
At the end of last season, John Kear expressed his interest in bringing the 28-year-old Jamaican international back permanently, saying: “I’m a big fan of Alex Brown, I don’t think that’s a secret.”
At that time finances were thought to be an issue, however it would appear the Bulldogs have overcome that as they prepare to complete a deal for the exciting winger.
