TWO tries from centre Aiden Guerra helped Italy to a two-point interval lead over Wales at the Millennium Stadium.
The Azzurri centre crossed first for the Italians on nine minutes after a storming midfield break from Paul Vaughan. Ben Evans dived on a Lloyd White kick that was deflected by Guerra for the Welsh on 15 minutes with Elliot Kear having a try disallowed four minutes later.
Guerra grabbed his second and then a penalty from Josh Mantellato edged the Italians eight points clear before a move involving Rhys Evans and Kear was completed with Rhodri Lloyd diving over for a try converted by White.
