Hodgson: Rovers want revenge for Sunday

Hull KR hooker Josh Hodgson has asked his side to make amends for losing to Warrington in the Challenge Cup on Sunday by defeating them in their Super League clash on Friday night.

In a thrilling clash, the Wolves overturned a sizeable deficit to edge the Robins 24-28 at the KC Lighstream stadium.

“I’m very disappointed personally and as a team because we should have gone on and won the game,” Hodgson told the Hull Daily Mail.

“We did okay, but when you play against a side like Warrington, okay is not good enough. Individual errors from people across the board cost us big time.

“We were our own worst enemies, pushing the pass when it wasn’t on and not getting to our kicks a few times when we were on the fifth and last on their line.

“I couldn’t knock the effort from the lads. Our effort has been outstanding all year but consistency is something we speak about a lot in sport.

“We just have to fix ourselves up and get ourselves in shape to go again on Friday. We only have the league to concentrate on now. I’m gutted we are out of the cup and the boys are too. We have to go to Warrington and get a result.”
