Hull FC could keep Steve Michaels

Hull FC back Steve Michaels could be set for an extended stay with the club after he revealed talks are ongoing about a new contract with the Black and Whites.

Michaels has impressed since joining on a one-year deal from Gold Coast Titans at the start of the season, and he admits he is now open to a new deal, and says that he’s confident his future will be sorted out in the near future.

“I want to stay at the club. We are just getting that all sorted out right now,” Michaels told the Hull Daily Mail.

“I’m enjoying my rugby and I’m loving the passionate fans. I’m really happy at Hull. Hopefully it will be sorted out soon.”

Michaels has made 19 Super League appearances since joining the club, scoring six tries.
