Hull Kingston Rovers chairman Neil Hudgell has confirmed that the club intends to strengthen their squad midway through the season.
The club is still finalising its squad for their return to the Championship, after suffering relegation last season.
As it stands, Nick Scruton, Danny Addy and Mitch Clark have been confirmed as new signings for next year as the club waits on several of its existing players to decide on their futures, including winger Josh Mantellato.
Graeme Horne and Dane Tilse are other players whose futures have yet to be finalised.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Hudgell said: “As expected some players are sticking with us, some are not.
“We’ve seen the likes of Albert Kelly, Terry Campese and Ken Sio all move on, and several more are still up in the air as Tim looks to assemble his squad. Some players have verbally committed to the cause and we will announce those as soon as the ink is dry on the contracts. Others may stay, or they may go, the offers are on the table and the ball is really in their court.
“One thing we won’t do is panic. There are two challenges to conquer. The league, and then the Super 8s Qualifiers. We expect to be in the Qualifiers and intend to significantly strengthen around the mid-season mark.”
