Super League sides Leeds Rhinos and Wakefield Trinity will play their traditional pre-season fixture on Boxing Day in the Wetherby Whaler Challenge.
Trinity were victorious in the fixture last year and went on to enjoy a strong season, finishing eighth in Super League.
Philip Murphy, Director of the Wetherby Whaler Group, said: “Sport is in our blood here at the Wetherby Whaler. We had a ball supporting last year’s Festive Challenge where the Wildcats just edged out the Rhinos and are delighted to sponsor the 2016 match.
“They’re two great teams and I am certain it will be another fantastic occasion, perhaps the weather will be a little kinder to us this year ”
