Hull KR star could miss rest of season due to injury

Hull Kingston Rovers have been dealt a huge blow coming out of the Easter period, as prop Justin Poore looks set to miss the remainder of the season with a broken knee cap.

Poore – who only signed for the Robins at the beginning of this season – suffered the injury during Rovers’ 37-24 defeat to Catalan Dragons in the South of France on Easter Monday.

The Australian has already missed a significant chunk of the season, having received one and three game bans for incidents that were referred to the disciplinary panel. However, he now looks set for a much longer spell on the sidelines following this latest blow.

It is another huge injury setback for boss Craig Sandercock, who has also lost props Adam and Jonathan Walker to injuries; leaving Rovers incredibly light in terms of forward punch heading into the rest of the season.
