Jones-Bishop’s season finished

Ben Jones-Bishop has confirmed that his season is most probably over after suffering a reoccurrence of a shoulder injury.

The former Leeds and Salford man suffered the injury in his comeback game against Warrington at the weekend as the Wildcats were knocked out of the Challenge Cup.

Despite making his comeback, Jones-Bishop admitted that he was not fully fit for the match.

“My shoulder went again in the second half,” Jones-Bishop confirmed.

“We’ll have to get it sorted out in the next couple of weeks, but I think that is me finished for the season now. I need an operation, but luckily for us we are in the top-eight so hopefully I can get it done and be back for pre-season.”

The news comes as a further blow to Chris Chester who is now without ten first-team players for the start of the Super 8s.
