Hull Kingston Rovers are set for a major overhaul ahead of 2019 after releasing nine players.
However, Nick Scruton and Craig Hall will be staying with the club after signing new deals for 2019.
The duo have both signed new one-year deals after important contributions during the club’s first season back in Super League.
But Chris Clarkson, Ben Kavanagh, Danny Tickle, James Donaldson, Brad Clavering, Kieren Moss, Jordan Walne, Liam Salter and Matty Marsh have all departed having not been offered new contracts by the club.
Scruton has spent the last two seasons with the Robins, making 49 appearances, and has decided to go around once again, which will see his career extend into an 18th season.
“I’m over the moon to agree a new contract with the club,” he said.
“I have enjoyed my time here over the past two seasons and I am already looking forward to getting started again with pre-season ahead of what promises to be an exciting 2019 season.”
Meanwhile, Hall joined the club from Leigh ahead of the transfer deadline and had a major impact as he scored an incredible 14 tries in just eight games, which helped the club claim Super League survival.
“I couldn’t be happier to be staying here for another year,” Hall said.
“When the opportunity came around for me to come back to Rovers it was a no-brainer for me and I have loved the last few months being back at the club.”
