Leigh Centurions have confirmed the signing of Toronto Wolfpack winger Matty Russell.
The Scotland international joins the club following the Wolfpack’s demise and adds considerable strength to the Leythers squad.
The former Hull and Warrington winger is the club’s third signing in a week after they completed the signings of Nathaniel Peteru and James Bell.
“It’s exciting to see which players are coming in for next year and it’s clearly a squad that has Super League potential,” Russell said.
“I know a lot of the players and coaching staff at Leigh – I don’t think there’s anyone here that I haven’t played alongside or against.
“I have known John (Duffy) for a long time and I enjoy working with him. There are a number of Scotland players at Leigh who I am looking forward to working with on a day-to-day basis.”
