LEIGH LEOPARDS have appointed Martyn Ridyard as head of youth, taking over from Kieron Purtill.
The 39-year-old has a long history with Leigh, being one of only three players - the other two being Jimmy Ledgard and John Woods - to score 2,000 points for the club during his playing career.
