Former York Valkyrie boss Lindsay Anfield joins Catalans Dragons

TWO-TIME Women’s Super League-winning boss Lindsay Anfield has joined the coaching team of Catalans Dragons’ women.

Anfield stepped down as York Valkyrie head coach in October after five seasons in charge, during which time they won back-to-back titles in 2023 and 2024.

She has also won three League Leaders’ Shields (one as Castleford Tigers coach) and reached a trio of Challenge Cup finals (two with Castleford).

In a left-field move, Anfield has linked up with St-Estève XIII Catalan, the reigning Elite 1 national champions.

“She joins the staff led by Guy Campourcy, Victoria Bobo and Jérémie Bonafos,” said the club.

“She will bring her energy, her top-level experience and her skills to the Catalans project, which continues to take shape and assert itself.

“She led her first training course this weekend, first in St-Estève, then in Le Barcarès.”
