Leigh’s interest in Nathan Ross confirmed

The manager of Newcastle Knights winger Nathan Ross has confirmed that Leigh Centurions are keen on signing the winger.

Ross has been linked with a move to England for some time, with Leigh being the club most frequently mentioned with a move for the star.

The 27-year-old, who has scored five tries in 11 appearances for the struggling Knights this year, is also understood to be attracting interest from the NRL.

Speaking to the Newcastle Herald, Ross’ manager Gavin Orr said: “There is interest from a couple of clubs here and three in England who want him for next year.

“Leigh Centurions, who are in first division and trying to get up into the Super League, wanted him to go last week.”

Neil Jukes recently allowed winger Jonny Pownall to join Oldham on loan, who had been a regular at LSV since making his debut in 2011.
