McCarthy raving about Kelly’s talents at Hull KR

Hull Kingston Rovers forward Tyrone McCarthy believes the talent of Albert Kelly has come to the fore in the club’s opening three games, and the Ireland international admits he’s loving playing with the former Gold Coast man.

Whilst McCarthy admits Kelly has made some mistakes during his first few games for the club, his unique playing ability makes him a real asset for the Robins, and it’s a pleasure to have him in their ranks.

“Albert’s a really special player to have in our team. He can make something out of nothing and that’s showing in our opening few games,” he told the Hull Daily Mail.

“He’s made some early errors but it’s up to us team-mates to have his back and I’m sure he’s working hard to get rid of them.

“His off-the-cuff style is great to watch and can cut through teams, and I’m loving playing alongside him at the minute.”

McCarthy will be part of the Robins squad that will be looking to make it successive Super League wins this Sunday, when they travel to his former club Warrington Wolves.
