Michael Platt signs up at Salford Red Devils

Salford Red Devils have secured the services of Michael Platt for the remainder of the season after he completed a successful trial period at the Club.

Platt – who has Super League experience with the likes of Bradford and Castleford in the past, had been plying his trade at North Wales Crusaders in 2014, but has joined his local club for the rest of the 2014 Super League season.

Red Devils Head Coach Iestyn Harris said: “Michael is a player who I played with a Bradford so I have good first-hand knowledge of all of his attributes. He has an excellent Super League pedigree after spells with the Tigers and the Bulls.

“He is going to provide us with excellent cover in the back positions right across the squad and we are looking forward to him joining up with the rest of the squad today.”

Michael said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for me to the return to the Club where I first started my rugby league career. There is such a great feeling about what is happening around the place and I am delighted to be part of what is going on.”
