Oxford RL’s recruitment drive continues with the double signing of Jordan Andrade and Jamie Milburn, both forces internationals.
Jordan had the special honour of carrying out the famous Challenge Cup at Wembley, ahead of this year’s final between Castleford Tigers and Leeds Rhinos. The 22-year-old who can either play as a back rower or as a prop, has served as a weapons technician at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire for the past five years and will soon be moving down to Brize Norton in Oxfordshire.
Jamie who is also a prop and a back rower is a driver comms specialist in the army and has recently relocated to Dalton Barracks, Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

Both Jordan and Jamie have experience of playing with each other when they were selected in the England squad for the 2013 Armed Forces Rugby League World Cup, where they lost out to New Zealand in the semi finals of the tournament by 20 points to 16.
When not playing in the same team, Jamie and Jordan have faced each other for the Army and RAF respectively, with their most recent encounter coming in September when they met in the inter service championships. Jamie came out on top on this occasion with his side winning a nail biting clash by 20 points to 18, to finish in second place in the standings.
Jordan was delighted to have secured a move to Oxford and said “I cant wait to get stuck in. I was really impressed with what the club is trying to achieve when speaking with Ryan and Adrian and I am looking forward to being a part of the future. I just want to show the club and our fans what I can do and am looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
