Nathan Peats has become the first player to leave Parramatta since their salary cap scandal, with the hooker signing for Gold Coast Titans.
Following unsuccessful attempts to lower the $570,000 salary cap breach placed over the Eels, the club has been forced to trim their squad so they can they can start picking up league points ahead of Friday’s match.
The NRL have told the club that until they are under the cap they will not be able to earn any points on the league standings, meaning more players could be set to leave.
