Halifax RLFC have bolstered their pack with the signing of Salford second-row Matt Sarsfield on a month’s loan.
The former Leigh Centurions star joined the Red Devils ahead of the 2016 season but has played just five games this season, scoring one try.
The 24-year-old trained with the Richard Marshall’s side last week and is in contention to make his debut for Halifax in Sunday’s important Championship fixture against Batley.
“Salford approached us last week with a further addition after we brought in Jordan Andrade.
“We have signed Matt to strengthen our back row. He is a proven Super League player and has been in some excellent environments throughout his career. We hope he thrives in ours and I look forward to seeing him develop within our Fax family.”
