Patrick has returned a better player, says Anderson

Huddersfield Giants coach Paul Anderson has admitted that he believes Larne Patrick has returned to the club a better player than when he left.

Patrick spent 2015 on loan at Wigan, playing a part in their squad as they reached the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford.

But he is back with the Giants for 2016, and Anderson told the Huddersfield Examiner that not only is he coming back a better player, but Patrick’s seamless return to their first team squad has not surprised him one bit.

“Larne’s fitted straight back in,” said Anderson.

“But because he knows so many of the people here, I always thought that would be the case.

“And I have to say I’ve seen a bit of a difference in Larne since he’s come back.

“There’s a bit more maturity in him – which is no bad thing – and I’d definitely say he’s a better person and a better player.

“He’s also come back with the right attitude and looks determined to make as positive an impact as he possibly can.”
