TOMORROW’S National Conference League Division One fixture between Wigan St Patrick’s and Heworth has been postponed as the lack of rain in recent weeks begins to have an effect on grassroots Rugby League.
The pitch at Clarington Park yesterday failed a fork test in all areas, Pats stating: “The ground is still like concrete, with no change to the weather (forecast) for the next ten days.”
Postponements, say the Saints, apply to North West Men’s League and North West Youth fixtures as well as to the National Conference League game.
TotalRL.com has asked the NCL management for updates regarding any other potential postponements and is currently awaiting a response.
