Lee Radford was ecstatic, after his side put a two-point cushion between themselves and the bottom four with a stunning victory over Castleford Tigers.
An outstanding second half at the KC Stadium, saw the Airlie Birds tame the Tigers at the KC Stadium to win 21 – 18; a victory that leaves them on 20 points, level with the Catalans Dragons and two points ahead of fierce rivals. Hull Kingston Rovers, who are ninth.
“To put in as dominant performance as we did in the second half, without the players who we had missing this week, was a real credit to the team,” said Radford. “I thought we needed to speed up the ruck; we spent the first 40 in scramble, but we got to grips with that in the second half and looked a far better side.
“They (the bench) were huge for us. We knew that a 17-man performance would be needed today, against a really good side, so it was really pleasing.”
