Rangers rout East

SADDLEWORTH RANGERS cruised to a 48-4 win over Leigh East in last night’s Kingstone Press Cider National Conference League Division Two fixture.

Rangers, who are now only two points adrift of the top six, were 22-4 ahead at the break against an East outfit that is too close to the relegation zone for comfort, and closed with nine tries.

Ben Whitehead scored three tries and three goals in the romp, Josh Bradbury contributed two tries and three goals, and other touchdowns went to Gareth Morgan, Sam Wilson, Ryan Gordon and Jack Bradbury.

Andrew Ball replied for the visitors.
