In a Nutshell
Former Wigan star Pat Richards scored two tries and kicked seven goals to help Wests Tigers to a resounding 42-12 victory over Gold Coast Titans
How it unfolded
Temperatures in South Queensland were close to 40 degrees, but the weather seemed to exhaust the home side far more than the Tigers.
Richards scored the first try of the game after four minutes, and from that point the result was never in doubt. They scored further tries from Jemes Tedesco, Richards again, Bodene Thompson, David Nofalumam, Marty Tapau and Luke Brooks.
The Titans’ scored two tries from their halfbacks Aiden Sezer and Albert Kelly, with Sezer converting both tries.
