Huddersfield Giants player Scott Grix has been charged with the Grade A offence of striking in the 15th minute of the First Utility Super League Round 8 fixture against Hull FC.
The incident occurred in the first-half of the clash at the KC Stadium, which the Giants ultimately lost. He was involved in an altercation with FC captain Gareth Ellis.
Grix was charged after the incident was viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel. The player does not have the option of submitting an Early Guilty Plea and will appear before an RFL Disciplinary Tribunal on Tuesday evening.
