New Warrington Wolves signing Ashton Sims admits that the passion of Tony Smith sold the move halfway across the world to join Warrington, saying that once he had spoken to the Wolves boss, he knew he wanted to come to Super League.
Sims arrived in the country last week ahead of taking up a deal with Warrington, and the Fiji international admits that when it comes to the biggest motivation for him making the move, the passion Smith has for the game and Warrington made it an easy decision.
“Probably just talking to Tony Smith during the year. Just his passion and love for rugby league and Warrington,” Sims said.
“We’re not oblivious to the Super League over in Australia. I know Warrington made the last two Grand Finals before this year and they were a strong club.
“If I can bring anything to the team that would be great, and that’s what Tony thought, I could bring something to the team.”
