Sonny Bill non-committal

Sonny Bill Williams was non-committal on his Toronto Wolfpack future when asked about his plans for 2021.

The Kiwi megastar was on the losing side as he bowed out from the Sydney Roosters in their play-off semi-final defeat to Canberra Raiders on Friday.

Williams returned to the Roosters as a result of Toronto’s withdrawal from the Super League season.

But he remains contracted to the Wolfpack next season, on the basis the club’s existence is intact come 2021.

However, in the aftermath of the Roosters’ defeat, Williams admitted to being uncertain what the future would hold.

“I’m not too sure at this stage,” he said.

“I’ll talk to the wife. These old joints are kind of making it tough to get to the starting block each week these days. We’ll see what happens with Toronto and if they pull through, who knows?

“I’m not too sure, I’ve to keep a few balls in play. I’ve to talk to the wife because we’ve got four young kids and if anything comes to fruition it’s got to get passed by the boss.”
