Todd Carney’s season over at Catalans Dragons

Catalans Dragons have confirmed that star half-back Todd Carney will not play again this season.

Carney was taken off during the Dragons’ loss to St Helens last weekend with a knee problem – and scans have determined that he will now miss the rest of 2016 after suffering knee ligament damage.

Carney’s injury is not the only major setback from that game, too.

Jodie Broughton is suffering from a quad injury and will be sidelined for a couple of weeks – while Justin Horo, who also left the field injured, picked up an ankle injury and has been sidelined for three weeks.

Meanwhile, Pat Richards and Antoni Maria have also been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering knee injuries. The news means that Richards has played his last game for the club.
