St Helens coach Kieran Cunningham has applauded his players’ efforts in beating Wakefield and has described the four-point win as a massive victory for the club.
An injury-depleted Saints saw off the Wildcats 20-16 at Rapid Soliticiors Stadium on Friday night, to keep their unbeaten record in Super League this year in tact. Cunningham praised the performance of his team, particularly veteran Paul Wellens and forwards Atelea Vea and Alex Walmsleu.
“Alex Walmsley was just sensational and Atelea Vea is just coming of age,” he said.
