Warrington coach Tony Smith believes St George Illawarra winger Eto Nabuli should have been red-carded for his high shot on Kevin Penny on Friday night.
Nabuli coat-hangered Penny in the first half but did not receive a red or yellow card. Smith said if the World Club Series match was played under Super League laws, the Fijian would have been given his marching orders.
“We played a lot of different rules tonight,” he said.
There would have been a lot more penalties. It’s unfortunate isn’t it. We should all be playing to the same rules…. I thought it was a shocker.”
