Wakefield head coach Richard Agar was pleased after his Wildcats spanked Catalans 56-14 but believes the side can get better as the season goes on.
Agar said he was impressed by the performances of forwards Taulima Tautai and debutant Nick Scruton on Sunday. He also hailed the impeccable kicking display given by halfback Jarrod Sammut, who converted 10 from 10 shots at goal. Wildcats Danny Washbrook picked up a calf injury in the Dragons match, while captain Danny Kirmond also suffered a tightened hamstring. Stand-off Pita Godinet came off in the second half with cramps as a precaution. Agar said he commiserated with Catalans and believes the French club will improve over the next few weeks.
