Wakefield Trinity Wildcats coach Brian Smith has revealed that he will bring his son into the club next week to help pass on some advice to the Wildcats players.
Smith’s son Keegan is a self-employed coach, and he will arrive to pass on tips to Wakefield’s squad with diet and training regimes.
Keegan, who is the nephew of Warrington coach Tony Smith, worked in Super League with Trent Robinson at Catalans before moving on with him to Sydney, where he was credited with revolutionising the club’s diet and strength training during their Premiership-winning season.
“He is extremely well read,” said his father. “He is not just a dietician, he is a whole of life guy.
“He works with elite athletes but he is trying to develop their whole being and their place in the world and the opportunity that we all have to create a better world, a healthier world. He has big dreams that boy, very big dreams.”
