Warrington Wolves coach Tony Smith has admitted that the club are actively searching for half-backs to join the club.
Smith has tried a number of players in the halves this year, including Stefan Ratchford, Richie Myler and Gareth O’Brien.
However, with Warrington’s inconsistent form clearly a concern heading towards the Super 8s, Smith revealed on BBC Radio Manchester that the club simply have to address the problem, and that they’re “scouring the world” looking for some key pivots.
“We’ve been scouring the world looking for half-backs,” said Smith.
“I don’t want to make my half-backs feel bad about it, but we understand that we haven’t been consistent enough in those sort of positions this year.”
