We need to win tonight, insists Anderson

Huddersfield Giants coach Paul Anderson believes that a win tonight for his side is non-negotiatble, and they must beat Catalans Dragons to keep hold of fourth.

The Giants slipped to fifth after last night’s result for Castleford against Warrington, but know that a win against the Dragons this evening will put them back into the top four.

And Anderson believes that with less and less games as the weeks go on, it’s vital that Huddersfield are in pole position rather than having to chase down Castleford.

“We need to win to hold onto that fourth spot, it’s as simple as that,” said Anderson.

“It’s about winning games – the target is getting smaller every week now. We’re the team that everybody wants to beat because we’re in the position of fourth. Everybody is coming to us thinking we’re the team they can catch and we’ve got to rise to that.”
