Widnes Vikings have confirmed that they will take on Warrington Wolves on Sunday 27 December in a festive friendly at the Select Security Stadium.
Last season’s Festive Derby took place at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, with the Wolves coming out 16-0 victors. Warrington also won on their last friendly visit to Widnes, 36-32 in December 2013.
“Both clubs have been actively promoting Membership campaigns over recent weeks and what better way to say thank you than to offer a discount for our Members to the Festive Derby,” said Vikings marketing director Brian O’Connor.
“It’s a game that everyone looks forward to over the Christmas period, as a first chance to see the class of 2016 and we’re definitely due a win in the annual clash.
“The Membership plays a huge part in our ‘One Club’ philosophy and this is another example of a benefit of being a Viking Stronghold Member.”
